We have great pleasure and honor in inviting you to the 15 National Conference and Live Workshop of Indian Hernia Society (IHS), "IHSCON - 2023" at Varanasi to be held on 25th and 26th August, 2023 (Friday and Saturday). The purpose of this conference is to make the surgeons and surgical trainees aware of the latest developments in technique, skill and challenges in repair of all types of Hernia and to give an insight on the latest and upcoming developments. A series of Lectures, Videos and Live Workshop from eminent surgeons of National and International fame will be the highlights of this one and half day academic feast.

The city of Varanasi has been the spiritual, cultural and educational capital of India and is known as the oldest living city in the world. It is popularly referred to as the city of temples on bank of river Ganges. This is the place where Sushruta (father of Indian surgery) practiced his craft of surgery and Lord Budha gave his first sermon.

It is befitting to host this conference in the city of Varanasi. It also harbors country's largest residential educational hub the "Banaras Hindu University". Varanasi is well connected by road, train and air to all major cities in India.

Apart from the scientific program there will be a feast of recreation, entertainment and sightseeing in and around Varanasi namely river Ganges boating, Kashi Vishwanath temple, Sarnath and Vindhyachal temple.
